Arena Hotel - איסטמבול

Location was ok, but I would prefer to leave this part blank as I would like to stress the bad points which deserve to be read first.....

By read the reviews on the net and by my own experience when first checking in and if offered the basement room, say no, as this is always offered first to clients. The room has some very loud plumbing , cracked windows etc. The staff at this hotel fall well below the industry standard, when they are not too busy surfing the net their short abrupt and sometimes rude conversations will leave you feeling cold to say the least. Please also note that you are required to sign a document which small print reads " that the Hotel will not be responsible for any items stolen from the room" breakfast is also a joke.

The location is very good.

Most of the staff are very sluggish, seemed like were very unhappy to work with clients. Only one woman- a receptionist - tried her best to make us satisfied. We changed four times the room, tried to find one with air conditioning working! Terrible!

Great location with able and attentive staff. Nice decor and small enough for the staff to know you and your requirements even though we only stayed for 2 nights/1 day.

Some rooms slightly small, shuttle to airport seemed expensive.

Quality and range of the breakfast was exceptional. All facilities worked and generally everything was very clean.

Clean rooms, good bathrooms with bathrobes- nice touch. Night staff friendly and helpful regarding tourist sites. Tea facilities in room. Close to main sites in Sultanahmet, and near to some good restaurants

Not enough sockets. Technically a room with sea view, but in practice this required craning your neck right round to see the edge of the sea over some buildings.

Hotel Arena is a lovely house, nicely furnished, great rooms with view, very pleasant and friendly staff. I very much appreciate its location, the quality of breakfast buffet, the terrace...highly recommendable for a discovery trip of Istanbul.

Prices for massage and hammam seem really a bit too expensive.

Room was cosy, neat and well presented. Customer service was prompt and always helpful and friendly. Location meant a very short walk to the Hypodrome, nearby tourist areas ans shopping, and the tram network. Taxi pickup was prompt and convenient to the airport on our departure. We would recommend this Hotel to family & friends.

Being in old city, location is not ideal. The roads are narrow and Istanbul traffic is terrible.

the staff help us about find the hotel and they have airport shuttle. the building was nice old fashion turkish house.

From our arrival,staff were excellent,nothing to much trouble we were made really welcome. we would revisit again

Restaurant prices in euros. turkish currency is the lira.......an effort could be made .resulting inmore clients eating in the restaurant in evenings...... I must say buffet breakfasts were very good, lots of variety&plenty of it.

The staff was friendly and helpful, thier knowlege of English was a benefit, the buffet breakfast was more than adequate and the suite (307) made for a very enjoyable stay

The first small room we were given was extremly hot and uncomfortable.

Location was ok, very convenience to visit old town; helpful and friendly staff

The breakfast was very poor, the room was in desperate need of repair the two bedroom windows were cracked and you could not open the window as it was broken and would fall into the room. We booked a twin room but when we arrived the room we had booked was occupied so we were put down in a basement room until the following night when the room was available.. When I booked I received a confirmation that all kids under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding, the hotel charges upon our arrival 15 euros extra for my son
